Mein Panzer player Jerry Stefek has uploaded a new scenario titled "One Rickety Pontoon Bridge:” The Battle of Khalkhin Gol Campaign. This is a scenario where the Soviets and the Japanese clash in what is a rarely thought of, let alone played, game. So give it a look and play!
Here is an extended example of Mein Panzer 2 play contributed by top-notch playtester Trotsky. It is two turns of a sample game using the command rules.
The Fleet Action Imminent additional Navies Supplement has finally been released. It contains:

A British Expeditionary Force TOE has been uploaded to the Site. Titled "MP2 WW2 Chapter 53_08_A United Kingdom TO&E Appendix 1 BEF Units" it is located in: Downloads Home > Private Access Library > Mein Panzer 2 > World War II Data Book > Individual Files. It is formatted so it can be integrated into your WW2 Data Book. The United Kingdom chapter had to be updated to include some equipment that was in the TO&E so you'll need to download the updated chapter to cover this.
The United Kingdom Chapter of MP2 has been updated and the Chapter and Full download files have been updated on the site. The updated was caused by the newly added TO&E for the BEF Appendix that was posted. A couple of Arty pieces, an AA Gun, a couple of Soft Skins and a Tank Destroyer Portee with a French 25mm encompass most of the additions. Enjoy!
The update countries, Italian Co-Belligerents, Mexico, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland and Turkey, are almost complete as they are lacking only TO&E. As soon as I can get some TO&E for them or determine that there is none available, I will get these out. I hope within the next month or two.
The finalized version of the updated WW2 Data Book went to the printer last week. During review of the print proof I found several errors that were corrected. These corrections were migrated to the online version complete book and the chapter files that were affected. I would recommend that anyone with the online version of the book go ahead and re-download the file to get the most up-to-date version of the book.
UPDATE (4/27/09): I have uploaded the updated Table of Contents File to the Individual Downloads section of the WW2 Data Book.
UPDATE (4/23/09):I have uploaded the UK File to the Individual Downloads section of the WW2 Data Book.
UPDATE (4/21/09): I have added the missing UK lend-lease equipment (M10 Wolverine and the M3 75mm GMC Half-track) that was pointed out in a recent post. The complete download file on the website is now updated and the individual UK file is done and will be uploaded today. I was able to update this just prior to the print version going to the printers for our next print run so it will make the next print run also. Yea! :)The update, Version 2.2, for World War 2 Databook for Mein Panzer 2 has been completed and posted to the site. I have also posted all of the individual chapters to the Individual File folder.
The new print version of the WW2 Databook, Version 2.2, was pruned a bit to keep the cost of the book the same. The pruning consisted of moving the following countries; Belgium, China, Croatia, Czechoslovakia, Denmark, Holland, Latvia, Norway, Slovakia, Thailand and Yugoslavia, to the Bonus Country folder. Do note that the Complete Download file has all of the chapters including the pruned chapters noted above.
There will be more countries added to the Bonus Country folder soon. These will consist of Italian Co-Belligerants, Mexico, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland and Turkey. As soon as I can locate TO&E for these countries I'll have them posted.
Flash: The WW2 Gunnery Charts 1cm=200yds file was updated today correcting the symbols in the Searchlight and Starshell table on the Dark Acquisition tables for the US and France.
The WW2 Naval Ensigns files were also corrected removing the incorrect Australian, Canadian and New Zealander ensigns. These countries used the United Kingdom naval ensign.
- Thanks to Glen Rose for pointing out the errors! :)
NEW! Added both PDF and Excel files with WW2 naval ensigns for the United Kingdom, United States, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Australia, New Zealand, Holland, Romania, Norway, Soviet Union, Turkey, and Canada. These ensigns are just under 1/4" tall and can be used for labels on ship miniatures. The images can be copied from either file and resized to whatever size desired. The files are located in the Private Access Library > General Quarters 3 > GQ3 World War II > Player Uploads, on the second page and are named WWII Naval Ensigns.
What's New? The new Spanish Navy Gunnery Charts have been added to the Game Charts and Logs folder and the Royal Dutch Navy Gunnery Charts have been added to the Royal Netherlands Navy folder. What's been Updated? The original Gunnery Charts that were made for the scale 1cm=200yds have been cleaned up so the printed quality will be crisp. Conversion range errors were found and corrected. Finally, the newly updated Japanese Gunnery chart with the torpedo additions were added. All of the charts are up to Amendment 1 standards. So, those of you who downloaded the previous charts, download the new files. Note: to download the Royal Dutch Charts you will of course have to have purchased the supplement to have access to the file.
Now available in the same quality plastic manufacture as our larger scale Turn Gauges, this Litko product is designed for those players who sometimes game using 1cm = 200yds.
