I was looking at setting up the Cat & Mouse in Kula Gulf scenario, and noticed CA Kumano is listed twice in the Amendment 1 ship logs: once on the IJN 1941-43 Surface page, and again on the (next) IJN 1943-45 Surface page.On the second page, the differences are a little better Close Range AA (not unexpected) and her torpedoes are black circles instead of red circles - indicating she was no longer equipped with Type 93 torpedoes. Is this correct (i.e. there is data that supports she no longer shipped Type 93s) or is in just a misprint? If there is data to support the change, when did it occur (i.e. before or after the 20 July 1943 scenario date)?Thanks...

According to the 'Combined Fleet' website (an excellent source for the record of the movements of IJN ships during the war), Kumano had her AA fit upgraded during April of 1943. Unfortunately, I was unable to confirm her torpedo outfit during this period.

Based on further research it appears that Kumano kept her Type 93s throughout the war. So, lacking anything to the contrary, I'd go with the Type 93s for the post 4/43 refit.

co_diver,I have just posted an official update file in the Download Library correcting the error, and showing that Kumano did indeed carry Type 93 torpedoes after her refit.Cheers,CinC
