Hi,1.- Is there a Game turn squence for both Extended and/or Day Campaigns? I'm unable to find and porbably it wil solve the next question:Situation: It's semems that players plot orders for his aircraft among mission availables (Air Strike, CaP, Search...), and them, if the search mission is suscessfull, the player can allocate an Air Strike mission, in the same extended campaing turn, for the flights that have no plotting orders this turn, to attack new previously detected task forces in this turn. Tell me if I'm right. So the big question is how long a task force is detected? I mean, in turn 1 a search plane allocate Task Force Alpha. Should I place a Air attack mission to attack Task Force Alpha in turn 2 without a search mission, or must I place a search mission to detect Task Force alpha in turn two and them and Air strike mission to attack it. Thanks for your help.

Most search aircraft aborted their search when they found a (worthwhile) Target and tracked it making reports as they got new/better information, so the strike will be following this during the strike. Search aircraft normally have a pretty considerable range, and could loiter at the limit of visibility for some time (an hour to several hours) before having to leave for fuel. Not infrequently a second search plane would be launched immediately, to relieve the original search plane, well before the strike aircraft were ready to launch. For simplicity, just consider the force found until the strike goes in unless A) the task force can launch a fighter to drive off the snooper B) the weather or nightfall in the next turn allows the force to 'disappear'.

Darth,To further clarify, the answer depends on whether you are using the one hour Campaign Turns or the Extended, 8 hour, Campaign Turns. As provided in rule Section 4.5.3 (page 4-4), air strikes are made in the same Extended Campaign Turn as a Task Force is spotted, provided the aircraft are available. When using the one hour Campaign Turns, air strikes are launched in the same Turn, but it will probably require one or two Campaign Turns for air strikes to reach the target Hex at cruising speed. As Bravo 6 noted, search aircraft mantain contact or have reported the location closely enough for air strikes to find the target. Simulation of the time dimenison allows for sequential contacts, counterstrikes, etc.LONNIE
