Gents,It seems unusual that the only damage roll is to the tracks of an AFV. With the probability always being p=.10 chance of a Immobilized result, it would be an easy thing to make the odd result an immobilization, and the even result a turret or main gun knocked out hit. Also, it was rare indeed when an AFV lost either its movement capability or its gun and the crew stayed with the vehicle. The bail-out check should be at -5 minimum.Cheers,Gregory

As explained to me, the damage give to an afv resulting in a immobilization status could be anything, track, engine, tranmission, fuel tank, etc. "Something" that renders the vehicle immobile. So saying an immobilization is only a track hit is inaccurate. (IMHO)Because it was determined during play-testing that we do not track hit locations on a vehicle because this is time consuming, and degrade the fast playability of the game. This said we do allow for the Odd/Even test to determine front vs side hits. So This could be applied here.I disagree on the need for a modifier to the Bail Out role. A standard TQ check should suffice and ease the number of modifiers / table consultation needed. If the crew remains with the AFV when it is truly immobilized then it becomes a pill box. If the crew remains with the AFV when the gun is destroyed then it can become a troop transport. My 2 cents....---Kenny

A TQ check means most times the crew stays with the vehicle, when in fact most times the crew bailed out when they became a stationary, meaning dead, target. Even Michael Wittman bailed out of his tank during the Normandy fighting to go get another tank that could move.Gregory

Well, I agree with both of you, I will say that, for the most part the crew sticking witht he tank in MP has been very rarely a factor in any game. While I agree with what Gregory says, in this instance, i would say that this is beyond the scope of the game as it was written as it would add a modifier and add another sub element to the game. That said, I see no problem for individuals to modify the game to fit their play style. A good house rule should be used for this.
