In tonights game we had the second CG mission attack that same Bombardment group from Truk (less the Yamato and Nagato) they lost the Moyoko this time, and still have enough crusers to make the minimum requirment for a bombardment mission, so on they went and encountered the Allied supply mission (there were no allied patrol missions). So thats next weeks game. ANYWAY the question came up, how long can a air attack loiter over say a bombardment mission. The weather was crappy (fog) and the allied player mentioned his intrest to wait till the weather changed. I decided that he only had 3 turns (9 air phases) to play with. With no idea of distances traveled, time spent looking... What is everyone else doing?

An air strike would not loiter in the fog over a possible contact. Generally there was enough fuel to reach the target then conduct the attack. Weather would take hours to change. Thus using up all fuel reserves. Your opponent used a gamey tactic.Cheers,
