When Direct Firing, you get a -5 modifier to hit when using your troop quality bonus shots, as far as I know. But what about an infantry stand using FP to attack another infantry stand. In this case, you immediately go to the Kill Table. So is there a negative modifier to the Kill Table when using your troop quality bonus shots?Bob

Sorry Bob, i was on vacation and we are very short staffed this past few weeks. Well the troop quality modifier is 1/2 or -3 whichever is worse accrding to the latest version of the rules. And with the following excerpt from the rules page 7.5, Rate of Fire Section, Troop Quality and Bonus Shots subsection, 3rd column:"All Bonus Rolls incur a -½ modifier (round down) after applying all modifiers, or -3, whichever is worse."So this modifier would apply to ALL Bonus Rolls whether it be Infantry Fire or Gun Fire. Thanks for your patience,

 This is a bit challenging for me to understand, because the infantry fire model presumes that infantry fire always hits (and so goes directly to the damage/kill role). So are you saying that the modifier applies to BOTH the to-hit roles and the roles to determine damage?Three cases to consider:CASE 1: Squad A (high troop quality) firing at Squad BIf Squad A uses a crew-quality related bonus shot to fire at Squad B, then Squad A's FP factor is reduced by x1/2 or -3, whichever is worse, when rolling to damage/kill.CASE 2: Tank A (high crew quality) firing at Squad BIf Tank A uses a crew-quality related bonus shot to fire at Squad B, there is a x1/2 or -3 modifier that is applied to the to-hit role. If Tank A hits, is the same modifier applied to Tank A's FP factor when rolling to damage/kill?CASE 3: Tank A (high crew quality) firing at Tank BIf Tank A uses a crew-quality related bonus shot to fire at Tank B, there is a x1/2 or -3 modifier that is applied to the to-hit role. If Tank A hits, is there a similar modifier applied when rolling to damage/kill?-Mark(aka: Mk 1)"All Bonus Rolls incur a -½ modifier (round down) after applying all modifiers, or -3, whichever is worse."So this modifier would apply to ALL Bonus Rolls whether it be Infantry Fire or Gun Fire.

Hey Mark,Case 1: Is correct.Case 2: The modifier is only applied to the to-hit roll. The only modifier applied to the to-kill roll is the ammo type table - if used. You only pay once.Case 3: Same as Case 2The reason for this was that the 2nd die roll as a normal to-hit or to-kill (in the case of pure Infantry vs. Infantry) increased the odds exponentially according to our statistics guru which meant that the crew type ROF modifier was out of proportion to the actual probabilities, as it was explained to me.
