Hi:1.- How many times should I roll for Spoting Probrability? If I roll one d12 per one hour campaing turn ,shouldn't I roll eight times per 8 hour campaing turn. or should I roll only one per mission from take off to landing?, if the answer is one per mission shouldn`t be important to determine in which 1 hour campaing turn the contact was made?2.- Should I use the same answer criteria when rolling for Oposing flights searching same arc?Thank you for your comments.

Darth,My apologies for the delay in replying to your question. As stated in my answer to your other question regarding submarine contact, I have unfortunately been occupied during the past month. The answer is to roll once per Campaign Turn for each Campaign Hex containing an opposing or neutral naval force in the search arc. When using the one-hour Campaign Turn, the distance of the occupied Campaign Hex from the launch Hex of the search aircraft will determine which Campaign Turn the contact occurs in as search fights often require multiple hours to reach the full DT Radius of the search arc at the Cruise per CT movement rate. For the extended Campaign Turn, movement of both aircraft and ships is abstracted into 8-hour movement intervals. In this approach, larger Campaign Hexes are used and aircraft perform only one search mission during the extended Campaign Turn. Accordingly, only one D12 is rolled for spotting an opposing or neutral naval force in a Campaign Hex in the search arc. Since the 8-hour extended Campaign Turn is the minimum time interval used, which particular hour a contact occurs in is not determined. The same criteria should be used when rolling for opposing aircraft fights in the search arc as well.LONNIE
