Are there any rules for determining the accuracy of radio transmissions?

For example, when playing a campaign based on the North Cape game, in 1942, if either side makes radio transmission:
* what is the chance of intercept?
* how accurately can the location of the transmitter be determined?

Are the answers:
* low
* not at all?

Or was WWII transmission location determination quite advanced?

Thanks in advance,

I have found out some info by web searching.

http://www.uboataces...e-changes.shtml (brief mention)
http://www.g4axx.com...ion_Finding.pdf suggests 5 deg typical

Anybody got: ULTRA in the Atlantic, Vol. 6: “Appendices” Includes "Accuracy Study of HF/DF Fixes"
or, better still, this: http://www.amazon.co...c/dp/1557509352

The last link looks to be key!
