As most everyone is aware, we are working on some revisions to the Core Rules. I don't have a date as to when this will be completed, but probably not until after the first of the year. However, another thread gave me an idea ... I will from time to time post a "new rule" to the forum. Feel free to comment on them, or ask questions. With that said, here is the first new rule:RUNNINGSomething new we're adding to the Core Rules is infantry can now "Run". In order to "Run", infantry must take a Move Action along with their Bonus Move. This gets them 1 extra Move Pip per ACTIVATION (not Action). So a rifle stand can move 2" for its Bonus Move, another 2" for its Standard Action, and an extra 1" for running ... for a total of 5".Running applies to infantry only, but does including cavalry. The bonus Move Pip can only be taken if the stand moves with BOTH actions.

Yes. We toyed with adding "Sprinting" as well as adding a level of Fatigue when running or sprinting. While the RULES worked well, it added a level of complexity that didn't feel right for the game. We settled on simply Running. I've used it in numerous games and it works very well. Especially in infantry heavy games where transports are rare.

Gregory and I are already using this too, so we cool! The fatigue part would be getting a bit fussy.
