A few Weather questions

The first engagement (A). carrier vs. carrier) we had Force 8 weather which means that it is "too rough for carrier ops" so, since each side had only one CG we had them both retire with no contact. Correct?
The second engagement (D). bombardment Truk) we again had Force 8 weather but the group was never spotted and the bombardment then occurred. My question is, would the bad weather have an effect on the die roll for the tactical index or possibly even cancel the mission? The weather table indicates that BB's would be UP 2 rows for firing but that would only be for a tactical engagement. I am inclined to think there would be some effect but wondered what you designers would think is appropriate.
The third engagement (F). Japanese Supply vs. Allied Patrol) we awoke to find wonderfully improved weather (Force 5). On the weather chart here it states "no amphibious operations". The Allied Patrol did spot the supply mission and there will be a tactical battle. My question is though, because of the weather, will the supply mission abort (be unsuccessful) even if the tactical battle does not result in an "engagement" only a contact? Had the Allied patrol not found the Japanese, could the weather alone caused the supply mission to be unsuccessful?
Thanks for the assistance.

Yes, bad weather like that scotches the engagement.Well, we played our first month of TSC this week and were blessed with a roll of 12 on the first Weather Forecast roll. This has resulted in HORRIABLE weather for each engagement we have had. It brings up a couple of questions I wanted to check with the more learned.

No the bombardment should go forward as originally planned with the Tactical Index affected as usual. The second engagement (D). bombardment Truk) we again had Force 8 weather but the group was never spotted and the bombardment then occurred. No we did not make any provision for weather effects on all the different missions, only the flying ones. This is a good question, but I would not let the weather deter a Japanese supply mission, they are too important. The third engagement (F).
