Hello everyone,

I was reading through the WWI supplement recently and noticed that under the DCT die roll section the supplement navies had a row for B* and CA instead of CL and CS as in the major navies. This is fine with me being those navies don't have many light cruisers but have quite a few preDreadnoughts and Armored Cruisers, my problem is though that even though all three of the navies have this row the US navy has all of its preDreadnoughts and Amored Cruisers marked as already having DCT while French and Japanese are all marked as not having this.

So my question then is do I just ignore the designation on the US ship logs and just apply the dice roll or is it just a mistake and it is supposed to be a row for light cruisers like in the major navies?

That was intentional. By the time the US entered the war (1917), some form of DCT had been mounted on those predreadnought designs that still had some value. Since the other nations had been in the war since 1914, they had to add DCTs as the war progressed.

Thank you Coastal for explaining that though one thing that still confuses me about that is that even by 1918 the US only read as having a 2/3 chance (dice roll of 1-8) of having DCT on their Pre-Dreadnoughts and Amored Cruisers main armament and only a 1-2 dice roll in 1917 which still clashes with labeling all them as having DCT even as late as 1917. I guess what you mean is that the dice roll is only meant to apply to older ships not shown in the sheets? Either way thank you for clarifying why the US navy was labeled in that fashion.

Shouldn't this addition be added for the original navies in the game and not just the extra navies?.

It could be added to the download section.

No.  Almost none of the pre-dreadnoughts and armored cruisers in FAI received DCTs during the war.  Only those refitted for specific duties (such as gunfire support) received such equipment.  By 1915 it was general recognized that these ships were no longer of first rank combat value.
