Until now, I had no indication that any of the Zara class carried torpedoes, but the Wikipedia entry for Pola indicates that she carried 4 twin mounts like the Trieste class. Normally, I would have dismissed this out of hand. But given that Pola also introduced the bridge style used on Bolzano, which also carried Trieste style torpedo mounts, it seems possible that Pola was a transitional ship preceding Bolzano. Has anyone seen any other information that Pola carried torpedoes?

Checking several sources (including some recent ones with new research), there is no evidence that any of the Zaras carried torpedoes. The only 8" gunned cruisers so equipped were the Trento class and Bolzano. Looks like another dubious wiki 'fact'...
