Hi Bob or Kenny

Are trenches or improved positions considered linear cover or hard cover on the terrain effects table?  There is nothing specific that I have seen so far but wanted to check in on this.

I am currently doing a "mini Bulge"  game with a couple of friends.  We decided to make the American "foxholes" as hard cover rather than linear since these guys are actually underground part of the time at least.  Of course by doing that they are a hard nut to crack but seems reasonable to me.

I suppose we could just decide for each game what the various terrain benefits are for different types of terrain and the type of stands that occupy them but I wanted to see if there is any official ruling on this.

What are your thoughts on infantry in these types of positions?

Thanks.

Pete

I would say fox holes are hard cover as well.   Linear cover is akin to a wall (stone or concrete).

What sayst ye Bob the Mighty?!?

<grin>
