Aloha - I did not see this in the rules - does the center of the broadside template align with the first funnel stack or the center of the ship?
I'm going with the first funnel.
Thank again!

Given that the ship models are always much larger than the ground scale, it really doesn't matter much. We generally use the center of the model (more for aesthetics, than anything else. Plus, we do a lot of WWI and some the funnels on those pots are all over the place. Check out the French WWI armored cruisers and you're see what I mean). The key element is to be consistent across the board. So, yeah, forward funnel would work just fine.

Sounds like a plan - center of the model works for me.
Thanks!

Hello Old Blue,
I agree with RazorMind and CPT M that consistency is best. However, if you are going to measure range from the forward funnel, then you should determine the broadside angle from the forward funnel. If you measure angles from the center of the model, you are introducing a small amount of error into the process. Your target's forward funnel is the reference point at which you shoot, so your forward funnel should be the reference origin.
Just my two-cents-worth.
