Hello, I have a data book on the Tiger tank which says that the front and side armor was the same like an armored box. The only weak place was the rear of the tank. Why is the point value in the data book on the sides weaker than the front if you have the same amounts in the front and sides.Thank you,Andrew Burton

First let me say that MP uses the best armor for each side of the vehicle (not counting the gun mantlet) and the armor formula we use accounts for the armor sloping in the armor calculation for all tanks. Now in the case of the Tiger Tank, it is like a box with not a lot of armor angling, but the sides were not armored as well as the front. See this link on the Tiger Tank:http://www.wwiivehicles.com/germany/tanks_heavy/pzkpfw_vie.htmlIt has some very good data on the Tiger.
