Not sure how many players out there have been picking up the Can-do/Dragon 1/144 scale models, but I've built up a nice collection of their German pieces. I also have quite a few Russian pieces as well. However, just today I picked up some of the New Millennium Toys pieces. They currently make a Tiger I, Tiger II, Panzer IV-H, Panther, Sherman, and Hellcat.Since the NMT models are being sold as 1/144 as well as the Dragon/Can-Do models, I thought I'd post my opinion on a comparison. The NMT King Tiger is a disappointment when compared to Can-Do. The NMT is significantly smaller. The same is true of the Tiger I. Makes you wonder which manufacturer really is 1/144 scale. The NMT Panther is just a tinsy bit smaller but obviously less detailed. But for two bucks, who's gonna complain? The NMT Panzer IV, unlike the others above, is actually larger.Can-Do has made some Sherman pieces but their rather difficult to locate and I don't have any of those. So I can't compare them. But I can say they look rather small. Same is true of the Hellcat.Oh well, that's my two cents. Be nice to hear what other people think of the various 1/144 scale pieces.

I just posted some photos in the Photo Album, under "Painted Miniatures", of some of what I have. My apologies on the quality of the photos ... I'm a terrible photographer.

I bought a Can-Do King Tiger, though I'm impressed with the detail and quality of the painting, I must say that for the price I rather stick with GHQ, CinC or similar . Also overhere in Germany 1/144 is difficult to obtain and whats worse the number of different vehicles is very poor. Maybe there are other 1/144 manufacturers offering a better pool of vehicles of WW2 out there...?my 2 centsAbraxx

Abraxx,Welcome to the fun world of 1:144 minis!! <grin>Try Minifigs out of the UK. (www.miniaturefigurines.co.uk) They have an extensive WWII line that is N-scale. Yes, I know 1:160 and 1:144 are not the same scale... However on thet table top battle field you really won't see a size difference. Also look up Tank Zone (www.tankzone.co.uk) They sell 1:144 scale vehicles.Additionally you can search e-bay or Google for the following:Panzer KorpsWorld Tank MuseumTakaraCan-DoPocket ArmyPegesus HobbiesMilitary MuseumTrumpeterStuff is out there just have to look.Good luck.

I know that I am a little late coming into this discussion, however, this website has a lot of 10/12mm stuff on it, and it does have a few side-by-side shots with some 1/144 compared to the 10/12mm stuff.http://www.madaxeman...2_directory.htmThe 1/144 work very well alongside the larger vehicles like the Minfig range.
