OK, this was brought to light in a game we played last night. A transport with loaded infantry suffers a supression. Technically the transport can't take an unload action so the infantry is stuck inside. But, if the transport had taken a hit the infantry has a chance of getting out and being good to go. On the fly we ruled that the infantry could initiate the unload on its own (whenever it had an available standard or bonus) without suffering further penalty. So, is this situation already covered somewhere and I'm just not finding it? If not, how does that resolution sound?Joel T.

Joel,Actually, the situation isn't covered. My take at the moment would be similar to infantry in a structure. If the vehicle is hit and suppressed, then each stand being carried would need to take a TQ check. If passed, it can unload on its own or take any other action it normally could. If failed, the infantry stand is also suppressed.

That makes sense. I would be inclined to allow the infantry out of the transport regardless of final surpression status, however. I find it hard to think of any instance where the infantry is going to stay in the vehicle ... at least an unarmored one.-JT

Ok, how about this ... if the TQ check is failed, the infantry may unload but are suppressed. If the check if failed with a 20, they stay in the transport. Otherwise they may unload normally.
