The rest of Platoon A feel a little exposed as they are now facing a T34 platoon hull down on the hill in from of them and therefore they choose to use both their actions to move forward and to their right to gain cover from the trees around the farm buildings. The moving tanks are marked with a moved and activated counter. The Out of Command tank is marked with a stationary and activated counter and the Suppression counter is removed. Posted Image

The Soviet activates Platoon A, checks it is in command — which it is — and moves the first tank forward using its Bonus Move. The remaining German tank on Overwatch — German platoon B — checks Line of Sight and that the Soviet is within its Overwatch covered arc. Line of Sight is clear and the Soviet is just within the legal Overwatch arc. The German takes the shot. Posted Image

German regular troops have a TQ of '12.'Modifiers:PzIV G1 OM1: +1DM of T34/76: 0Target moving: -1Range 25”: -5Total modifiers: -5Target number is therefore '7.' The German tanker rolls an '11' and misses. The last German Overwatch counter is removed. The rest of the Soviet platoon uses their Bonus Move to follow the leading tank. The Soviets then use their Standard Action to continue moving. Two tanks climb the slope in front of them; the final tank does not have sufficient move pips to begin advancing up the slope and so remains at the foot of the hill. The platoon is marked with a moved and activated counter. Posted Image

The final German platoon B is in command and is now activated. As the commander has not been activated this turn he is also activated. Not wanting to move too far ahead of the rest of the company and so leave himself in an exposed position, he moves to join Platoon C and undertakes an Overwatch action. Posted Image

German Platoon B, seeing the Soviets moving towards strong offensive positions to its front and right, decides to find hull down positions to ensure it has an advantage over the possible Soviet positions. This is a Standard Action. They need to pass TQ rolls of '12.' Their rolls are: '16,' '20,' and '7.' An unlucky set of rolls as only one of the tanks achieves a hull down position. All the stands still have Bonus Moves available. The two tanks that did not achieve hull down decide to reverse 1” in order gain the moving target bonus if they are shot at before their next activation. These two tanks are marked moving and activated. The hull down tank is marked stationary and activated. Posted Image
