When a unit drops below 50% you get a -5 to your moral, does that stay with the unit or not. Becasue some games I have let it stay with the unit and they eventually will break and run. Have also tried dropping it and the unit will fight to the death. So what I am wondering is the moral like when a unit takes casualties is that just keep adding up or just drops off after they make their moral check.Thank you,Andrew Burton

Andrew, you may want to download the new Morale and Command rules, Chapters 12 and 13, to try the new procedure for Morale. They have been considerably cleaned up and better integrated with the overall Core Rules. In both the new and old Morale rules, the 50% modifier is dependent on the current losses of the unit, although the new method handles this determination across the entire time between a unit's activations, while the old method handled it immediately. Also, the new 50% loss modifier is -10. Example: if an infantry platoon (unit) of three full stands takes three hits, it has lost 50% and checks using the modifier. If later it takes one additional hit, it does not use the 50% mod, since it only has taken one hit out of a possible three. As a Registered User, you can now download the MP2 rules from the Download Library. Let us know if you have any problems.Cheers,Gregory
