Andrew,A key thing to remember, and one that is emphasized in Mein Panzer 2, is that turns are simply the point at which all units have been activated. Unit activations are the crucial things. If an unactivated unit is Suppressed, i.e., "before it is activated," it will roll to see if it recovers during its next activation, and Suppression is removed if they roll their TQ. If they roll a '1,' they can take a Standard Action only. As long as they are Suppressed, they can do nothing.Cover fire is being revised in Meine Truppen. It is not currently in the MP2 rules. If you are using the Morale Drop-In, then there is an option to voluntarily break the unit and retreat it. This removes the Suppression, but now you have a Broken unit. This may be okay if the position the Suppressed unit was in would eventually result in its destruction.GregoryNow when you suppress a unit before it is acitvated does it have to wait to the next turn to remove the suppression or can it waist a turn now on the turn it happen to do it. What exactlly does suppression do to that unit, will they still shoot, or are they too busy looking and taking cover. How can cover fire become suppression, and you can only suppress a unit once a turn right.

Let me clarify this a bit. A stand that is activated has a bounus move (if the stand is within command distance) and standard action. A stand that is suppressed remains supressed until it has successfully made a TQ check. This TQ check must be made by the stand using its Standard action as a Recover action. If the stand successfully makes its TQ check during the Recover action then the stand may then use its bonus move (if it is in command distance). If the Recover action was made with a "1" (a critical success) then the stand could then use both its Bonus move and it Standard action. A stand that is suppressed may not do anything until it has recovered from its Suppressed state. The Core Rules page 8.3, has the following on Suppression and Recovery from Suppression:SUPPRESSED TARGETSA Suppressed target represents the stand being stunned or taking cover after the attack. Place a SUPPRESSED marker next to the target to show its current state. While a stand is suppressed, it may take no action at any time except a Recovery Action.RECOVERY FROM SUPPRESSIONDuring the stand's next Activation, it may attempt to recover from Suppression by taking a standard Recover Action. This attempt requires a TQ Check, which is a d20 roll less than or equal to the stand’s Quality Value. If passed, remove the stand's SUPPRESSED marker. If the stand is within Command Distance, it may take its Bonus Move. If passed with a “1”, the stand may take its Standard Action as well. A failed roll means the target remains suppressed but may attempt to recover again next turn. Failing with a “20” has no additional effect.Hope this helps. :)If an unactivated unit is Suppressed, i.e., "before it is activated," it will roll to see if it recovers during its next activation, and Suppression is removed if they roll their TQ. If they roll a '1,' they can take a Standard Action only. As long as they are Suppressed, they can do nothing.
