According to the rulebook there is no advantage to a high ROF AA weapon. For example:The AAMG, Quad Vickers: 4x12.7mm has a +3 ROF. It has the same chance to hit as a standard Vickers Mk. II VHMG. Shouldn't the extra 3 Vickers give some advantage? I realize that the Quad Vickers would be set up in AA OW and does not require a TQ to fire at the aircraft, but other than that there is no advantage given to hit(or damage) the aircraft. Is there something I am missing? Thank you in advance for your replies.John Murray

Many moons ago there was a +1 bonus per additional barrel for AA fire but I believe that goes all the way back to the original 1998 WW2 Edition. I'm not sure why this didn't get carried over to the Core Rule. May have been an oversight on my part, or we may have had a reason that I'm not remembering. We only all one shot for a variety of reasons, one of which it yields unrealistic results. Tossing several dice produces odds, even for quad AA, of getting a kill that are greater than historical results. We have build into our formulas taking into account multi-barreled guns but you are correct there isn't anything for small arms. For now, try adding +1 for each additional barrel so that a quad MG would have a +3 and I'll add that to my list to explore in more detail for a future revision.Let me know how it works out.
