Are a vehicle's machine guns Firepower and ROF added together or are they treated as seperate weapons when making an attack on infantry/transports? And after looking through the rulebook a couple of times and having my friend look also how does the German Nahverteidigungswaffe work? It is not listed in the Advanced rules and is only shown on the chart on page 9.3 in the Equipment Table Help section. Thanks for your help and have a good day.John Murray

Vehicle MGs are treated as discreate, seperate weapons. The German Nahverteidigungswaffe and "S" Mines rules are detailed in the WW2 Data Book, Special Rules Section, page 53.5, first column as below: "Nahverteidigungswaffe is a special smoke discharger that is only found on certain German vehicles, and is noted as "N" on the German Equipment Table. The device will fire a smoke grenade up to 2" from the vehicle in any direction. Place a cotton ball as with smoke mortars, and remove it next turn when the vehicle is activated. This device may be reloaded from the inside, and may be done so automatically. The device may also be fired at any point during the stand's activation, including during a Reactionary Action, or Overwatch. The Nahverteidigungswaffe also has a 26mm anti-personnel round that can be fired at incoming infantry stands. The round is a –2 HE OV that gains no range modifiers when used. The round has a range of 1"."Note that the book has a missed conversion from our old revision. The HE OV -2 should be HE FP 8.Also, the S Mine in the same rule is listed with an attck value of HE OV -1 and should be HE FP 9.:)
