I am working on a brandywine scenario....For the Americans, which units are considered the 1777 state regiments and which are considered continental line? It appears that after 1777 the use of continental regment designations stopped. It can be confusing to me at least. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Fortunately , there is a wealth of data online on the AWI.North Carolina and Virginia and Maryland are examples of state regiments. The Maryland regiments performed well in several southern front battles.

I have quick replied but don't see my post so I will try one more time. So if I understand you. You suggest to look at how the individual units performed and then assign their stats accordingly, if they were run of them ill they would be State regiments, for the Americans of course, and if they did above average, make them Continental line post 1778?

Yes, there is not really a good way to generically categorize every unit in the AWI. Look at their historical performance then assign stats.
