GHQ just announced they are selling a "combat command" pack containing three British Horsa gliders with paratroopers and equipment. I have got to have a couple of these! Normandy and Market Garden, anyone?Cool!Gregory

I have seen it and I have considered buying it. But, then, I realized that I have still lot to do to finish my other micro scale armies for WWII. But a British paratroops force might be interesting, even if I might prefer an other scale than 6mm, to focus more in personal combat instead of armored combat. I am not sure yet. But playing Pegasus Bridge like scenarios might be real cool.

I finally ordered and received 2 of GHQ Combat Command with Horsa glider. As usuall with GHQ stuff, the minis are just incredible. I have also ordered an extra pac of para individual heavy weapons and an extra pack of individual soldier. Each heavy weapon pack or combat command came with 3 piats each. I have plenty of 2' motars and HMG. I should be able to field at least 2 compagnies of 3 platoons each with HQ.The declacs in GHQ RAF decalc sheet are to small for the big gliders ( they are about 3'' long '').I just have to figure out how to paint them so they look different from my regular british infantry. And I would have like to have more poses with red berest !!!Robert

Hi Guys - I am interested in these Horsas and the potential for Operation Market Garden and Pegasus Bridge scenarios. I am thinking of starting to collect the Brits, will probably use H&R stuff again but get some specialist stuff like the Horsas from GHQ. Does H&R stuff look OK next to GHQ?Please post details of any games you play with these gliders.

I got the GHQ Combat Command for the Brits. Just for starters, take a look at the pic from our last game, below. GHQ Germans on the left; H&R Soviets on the right. We think they look just fine together. The H&R bases are thicker than the GHQ ones, and the GHQ may have better detail in some figures, but the H&R have lots more poses and are considerably less expensive. Posted Image There are some websites out there which give side-by-side comparisons. Check with The Miniatures Page and perhaps a Google search.Cheers,Gregory
