Yes the carriers lose track of the enemy on too high a roll, and they retire away, done with each other for the month. The bomardment force in 'D' would be missed by the patrol on a '7.' The US patrol continues and may contact the supply mission. A '3' is good enough for contact with the supply mission in 'E.' I assume that is where you are?I am seeing if I am doing this correctly. Since there is just me for now, the missions were drawn from a cup so that I can figure the results and get the flow correct before I try doing this with other players. So the missions were, for the IJN a carrier group, a bombard from Rabaul, and a supply mission. The USN had a carrier group, patrol and a mandatory supply mission with an escort. For the carriers I rolled on the asqusition table for a clear day and rolled a 12, battle ends, carriers done for month(?). For the bombard vs patrol rolled a 7, and then for the supply mission I rolled a 3. So the IJN bombard engages the escort at area B. Have not done the battle yet, like I said I am trying to make sure I get the campaign part down right. So can the USN patrol attempt to engage the IJN supply mission or were they already committed when they missed the bombard mission? That it is for now, I am sure I will have more later. Thanks Greg
Cheers,
Gregory
