Pardon my ignorance, but I can't find anywhere in the rules that specifies how a warship's victory points value is calculated.  What is the formula?  I found it for merchant ships but not warships.

I had to get this info from Lonnie when I put out the Far Aft and Faintly and Mackensen options for Defending the Malay Barrier.  For some reason, at the time, it was not included in the Bonus Docs.  I don't know if it's there now.  Anyway, here's what he gave me:

For surface combatants, BA/BB - CS:

Standard Displacement / 2000 [round to whole #]; for CLs and CSs, > 5500 tons = +1

For carriers:

Standard Displacement / 2000 + # planes / 3 (flights) x .33

For DDs, DEs, TBs, PCs, etc, based on standard displacement:

300 - 500 tons:  3/4

600 - 800 tons:  1

900 - 1300 tons: 1 1/2

1350 - 1750 tons: 2

1800 - 2700 tons: 2 1/2

2800 - 3000 tons: 3

It then lists APDs 2 and DM/DMS 1 1/2.  Seems to indicate these are set, and not based on standard displacement.

Thanks Dave. I was looking for the answer and was having no luck finding it.
