Some questions from a noob.Page 5.5 only mentions that turreted vehicles have 360-degree field of fire. Page 6.3 says that turning a turret doesn't count as movement, but does count as a visible action for triggering enemy overwatch.Since rotating a turret doesn't count as movement, when can a turret be rotated? Suppose a turreted vehicle is on overwatch, and an enemy unit moves within its LOS but out of its OW arc, can the unit rotate the turret and execute opportunity fire?I guess I'm not clear on why the turret facing is important in Mein Panzer. It certainly doesn't make any difference as far as evaluating damage. Could someone please clarify? Thanks.

A turret can only be rotated during the vehicle's activation and not during overwatch. So the answer to your question:'Since rotating a turret doesn't count as movement, when can a turret be rotated? Suppose a turreted vehicle is on overwatch, and an enemy unit moves within its LOS but out of its OW arc, can the unit rotate the turret and execute opportunity fire?"No.Turret facing is important when the movement of the turret can trigger overwatch fire. The reason this is important is that an overwatch vehicle that can see another vehicle that doesn't have his turret facing toward him, can kill the other vehicle that must turn its turret before it can shoot. While the turret facing may not influence the to-hit/to-kill "numbers", it does influence the timing of combat as to who can shoot at who, when.

Thanks for your reply. If a turret doesn't count as movement, which "actions" allow the turret to rotate when the vehicle is activated? Can this be a part of the Fire action?

A turret can be rotated freely at any time during the vehicle's activation. So a turret can be rotated during any Movement or Fire action. :)
