I'm looking at unit organizations for WWII Afrika Korps around May-October 1942. The information I have shows that rifle companies have 3 platoons consisting of 3 rifle/LMG sections, plus HQ section; and a 4th platoon consisting of 2 MMG sections (2MMG) plus 2 81mm mortors. Then there is a seperate MMG company which has 3 MMG sectons (3MMG). So the LMG and MMG sections in the small arms table, do they represent 2 mgs per section or stand or 3 mgs?>
