It mentions if the escort for the supply mission is engaged the max deduction is at a -3, but if the supply missiion is engaged no roll is made to effect the TAC index. Escourt isnt a command decision, so do we need to make a distinction in a attack on a supply mussion between damage taken in the DD' et al escort, vs the transports? This can get blurry with the use of DD's as transports...

If the Japanese escort alone engaged then therer is a maximum -3 to the Tactical index if the Supply mission itself is engaged whether it is AP's or DD's then there is no change to the Index. I hope this clarifies things. Sorry for the delay in responding, I have been ill.
