Naval Thunder has a very nice one, and it makes it a snap to creat Obat / log combos. This is a boon to new players, also, who are a bit overwhelmed when there's a 24 ships on a page and I circle the ones they need.

In the free downloads section is a blank Excel ship log file for creating your own logs from. However, as easier method would be to export the logs from the pdf file of the ship logs (available in the downloads section. All purchasers have download access to the full rules and all the Amendments). You can copy sections of any pdf using the snapshot tool on the pdf viewer (this is located under the Tools button on the top of the pdf viewer. Click on Tools, then Select & Zoom, then the Snapshot Tool). With this you can hilite a log, copy it, and then paste it onto a another file (Word, Excel, etc). You can also resize the log.I could really use an excel spread sheet system, or something like it, that allows me to create log sheets using a cut'n paste system. This will permit me to create forces for scenarios that are in larger font/print as well as mix'n match various ships into the necessary squadrons, divisions, etc.

A note about why we use pdfs instead of Excel files: First, the Excel files can get quite large. For example, the IJN Deluxe Ship Log Excel file is several MBs in size; the pdf of that file is barely 900k. Second, not everyone has Excel. And some of the Excel emulator programs do not fully support all the features we use to create the logs (I've seen some very bizarre ship logs on some of these programs). Consequently, since the Adobe pdf program is the commone denominator for all platforms (and the reader is free for all platforms), the decision was made to produce the logs in that format.

The next game is 1/23, and I'm planning to put out some cool new ship models, have fewer ships, and a more intense night scenario with just DDs (probably...might sneak a cruiser in, can't decide yet).
