I learned a few weeks ago that the wreck of HMS Victoria has been found off the Lebanese Coast. It appears that between the flooding caused by Camperdown's ram, the residual bouyancy aft, and the weight of the massive 16.25" two gun turret forward she went down like a lawn dart. The forward portion is buried in the bottom while the rest sticks up vertically like a duck's tail! Deterioration is slight except for rotting woodwork.

The Victoria has become a favorite diving site over the years due to the unique nature of the wreck.
