Hi Guys - just played our first game of Mein Panzer - I have put some pictures in the photo album. Just a few questions poped up. These might be obvious but it would help me get it clear in my head!Overwatch - a unit is marked for overwatch from a previous turn - in the current turn it uses its overwatch option and fires at an opposing unit. The question is - does the use of overwatch prevent it from being activated normally this turn?Grain field's - there is no mention on the effects of grain fields - we treated it as soft cover (based on the hedgerow rule) - wondering if this is what most people do.Also there does not appear to be any BVP in the core rule book - it there a reason for this? I am waiting for my WW2 data book to arrive which I know will have full values. All in all the first game when very well - the rules were clear and intuitive - the Tigers took quite a beating from the T34/76's but we did play on a small battlefield and the Soviets rolled well all game.RegardsDave, UK

Howdy Dave,OVERWATCH - You do not loose your activation. Taking overwatch simply resolves your LAST activation, regardless of what turn you are in.GRAIN FIELDS - Soft cover is fine. I would also call it rough ground for movement. There are too many types of cover/ground to list them all in the rules so what you guys did was perfectly correct.BPVs - When the Core Rules was published, we had not finished our BPV formulas. Which is why there are non in the currently printed Core Rules. When the next printed takes place (sometime after the first of they year) this will be corrected as we now have a BPV system in place. When the core rules are revised after the first of the year, all the updated pages will be available to you via the Private Download Library.

No Problem Dave,

Overwatch - a unit is marked for overwatch from a previous turn - in the current turn it uses its overwatch option and fires at an opposing unit. The question is - does the use of overwatch prevent it from being activated normally this turn?

Yes, the unit does activate normally after using its overwatch. Thus, you could actually take 2 shots in the same turn.

Grain field's - there is no mention on the effects of grain fields - we treated it as soft cover (based on the hedgerow rule) - wondering if this is what most people do.

Yep, soft cover is fine.

Also there does not appear to be any BVP in the core rule book - it there a reason for this? I am waiting for my WW2 data book to arrive which I know will have full values.

Yes, the BPVs are reserved for the databooks. We omitted them from the Core Rules because quite frankly there just isn't enough vehicles to warrent it's inclusion. Yes, the Databooks all have have the BPVs.
