I'm running a scenario using Post Captain for the Texas Broadside! convention in October of this year.  Does ODGW offer anything in the way of prize support for conventions?  I would like to provide the top player something like a gift certificate, or even a copy of the rules.  I've done this with other companies when using their rules, but have never thought to ask y'all about it.  If not, I understand, but I figure it never hurts to ask.

Good question, I have been running Post Captain at my home and have been asked to run it at Millenium Con in Austin, Tx this year.  Would be cool i we did have some giveaways.

Well, this is funny.  I was thinking about bringing a Post Captain scenario to Millenniumcon this year.  Who is this?

I am also on the Lonestar FB page, Adam Rios.  I am really not sure what I am running this year, pretty sure I will help out with the Saga boot camp, but thought that Post Captain would be fun to do on Sunday perhaps.

Well Adam, I look forward to seeing you at Millenniumcon.  Unfortunately, I am apparently the only person in the known universe that doesn't have a Facebook account, so I can't look up the group.  So what scale of ships are you using: 1/1200, 1/2400, or something else?

1/2400 scale here, I have been using the Old Glory ships.  We did also play one game using the Sails of Glory 1/1000 scale but they are pretty big and my 4x8 table was too small for that scale.  I posted a batrep on these forums, you can see some pics of our game and the old glory ships in action :-)

Actually, I remember reading that post.  You tell a great story.  I'm running a scenario on Aug 20 that is a "what-if" based on an 1806 encounter off of St. Thomas.  It's the one I'm thinking about taking to Millenniumcon, so I can't give away too many details.  I'm adopting it from one that someone posted on TMP.

You should still run a Post Captain scenario for the convention though.  It would be nice to see how other people run the game.

Oh, I am still not sure what I am running.  I also kinda want to run a Muskets and Tomahawks game too, I need to decide quick as Nov will be here before we know it!

Look forward to seeing you there either way.

Well, I registered my scenario for Millenniumcon on Saturday, from 1:30-5:30.  I'm going to run it a second time, but am not sure when yet.  Charlie Torok wants me to do one on Friday morning, but I'll have to check out some things before I can agree.
