Hi,we had a game on the weekend in which we played with the Air-Support-Modue for the first time. As expected there have been some questions.The Americans in our game used their ( recon)-aircraft as FOs for their artillery. The rules say we should use the rules for spotting and FOs. Our question is: when does the aircraft have to have LOS to the target as a FO: 1. during all movement 2. before it starts it's movement 3. after it finished it's movement? There is no specific rule for a ground FO. Can he move behind cover (use his Bonus move) after he called in artillery.Can you help?ThanksJohannes

Johannes,For clarification, an FO on the ground cannot move at all during the turn it calls-for-fire, so it clearly must have LOS at the beginning of its activation. He cannot move behind cover since he cannot use his Bonus Move. The same rule should apply for airborne FO's, who definitely must have the target in sight during the time that the spotting rounds are incoming.
