Hey Joe,I can answer a few of your questions. What I don't get I am sure someone else will answer and/or elaborate on what I come up with. Here it goes..

#1. What scale ships do you use for this game?

I do believe that 1/1200, 1/2400, 1/4800 and 1/6000 scale ships can be used.

#2. Who sells the ships?

I would check out the following stores/companies for those scales:M.Y. Minatures for 1/2000, 1/3000 (1/2400?), 1/4800http://www.geocities.com/mickyarrowminiatures/index.htmlBrookhurst Hobbies for 1/2400 and 1/6000http://brookhursthobbies.com/Minis.htmStrange Cargo Games for 1/6000http://strangecargogames.com/index.php?cPath=301_26CinC Minatures for 1/2400 and 1/4800http://www.pfc-cinc.shoppingcartsplus.com/page/page/292434.htmKeep in mind that this is not even a complete list, so get your Google on if you are ready to dive in.

#3. How many do you need to get started?

Well, you really only need 1 ship per person to play, starting out and learning the basics, but I would recommend 2-3 ships per person.

#4. How long would a scenario take with 5 guys learning the system?

Depending on the number of ships I would guess-timate around 1-4 hours depending upon the number of ships in the scenario. Not being totally familiar with the rules I can't be more specific, but someone may be able to pipe in with a more accurate time for you.Hope this helps some. :)

Absolutely correct — all scales are supported.

Check Skytrex, Navwar and GHQ for other scales and miniatures.

Again, Bob is spot-on. I was astonished how easily I got into the game. Of course, I am an experienced naval wargamer from way back when (I started with TAHGC's Bismarck and Jutland), but GQIII is a very intuitive system that yields very good results. Playtesting has been very extensive, and the design decisions reflect this.Cheers,Gregory
