Sad to say, but Fleet Action Imminent is delayed at least until 15th September, and possibly longer. We will notify you immediately upon its arrival in port.CinC wrote:

Greetings shipmates! Here is a quote from the Amendment 1 Rules Introductory paragraph:“In the year since the release of General Quarters Third Edition, many good questions, suggestions and house rules have been proposed on the ODGW Forum to enhance your simulations. Amendment 1 is a download collection of some of these along with revisions developed by the GQ Design Support Group, who have the invaluable, but thankless, task of testing and validating changes while protecting you from my wilder ideas. Aside from a few clarifications and typo corrections, most of the Amendment 1 changes provide requested enhancements to the basic GQIII system and additional optional rules. Throughout, I have limited changes to those that maintain the same pace and ease of play for the majority of players. Download and enjoy.” — Lonnie GillI could not put it any better. Amendment 1 is a collection of new official revisions, clarifications, additions, and optional rules to General Quarters. They are in the Amendment 1 folder of the GQIII section of the Download Library, available to all registered owners of the game. We hope these new items serve to keep the game on target and up-to-date for all our shipmates as we continue to keep GQIII the premiere naval wargame on the market. As Lonnie said, enjoy!CinC

The Amendment 1 files apparently require the latest version of Adobe Acrobat Reader to read properly. Download it for free here.CinC

Operation Landcrab has just been posted to the Scenarios & Campaigns section of the GQIII Private Access Area. The operation covered the liberation of the Aleutians and our campaign presents a fascinating "what-if" to the historical result.CinC

I am extremely pleased to announce the release of Adrian Dobb’s SPANISH NAVY SUPPLEMENT, which is available elsewhere on this site as a free download for all registered owners of GQ III and FAI. Adrian had done a prodigious amount of research creating the Ship Logs and a scenario for the Spanish Civil War and quietly put them in the upload section of the website. When we discovered them, ODGW and I contacted Adrian to make them into a full supplement and our first foray into the long neglected Interwar period. It has been my pleasure to work with Adrian to bring the Ship Log format up to Amendment 1 standards and add aircraft Formation Cards. Along with adding another scenario, Adrian has included a dynamite historical commentary on the naval aspects of the Spanish Civil War – something I knew almost nothing about. Adrian does… having done the thesis for his Masters on the subject, and has written a very interesting summary of the operations. I’m confident you’ll be as surprised as I was, how much naval action there was in the Spanish Civil War. And, shooting incidents also included British, German and Italian warships. Quite a lot going on!You’ll find there are all kinds of possibilities for scenarios involving the Republican and Nationalist forces – not to mention other navies. There are many, many intriguing aspects to game. Adrian’s new supplement provides all you need to simulate these actions. The Spanish miniatures are also available from Panzerschiffe in 1:2400, NavWar in 1:3000 and Hallmark for 1:6000. Paint ‘em up and you are ready to weigh anchor. Here’s your chance to get out of the same old rut and try something new!So, accept our thanks Adrian! Your gift is a great example of how we can advance the hobby by working together.Well DoneLONNIE
