What was wondering how to get a ship card for HMS Lion which I know was never built, but I love to do what if battles. I have found a good model of it and was wondering how to get a stat card for the ship. One good example of a what if battle instead of sending out the Bismark when the Germans did send out the Graf Zepplin which was their carrier and see what happens in the Royal Navy's Home fleet, makes some good situations.

Attached is a work-up for the never-built Lion class. The first line represent the Lion class as it would have probably appeared without any aircraft facilities (the aircraft facilities were removed during wartime from all the King George V class. Its assumed that the same would've occurred for the Lions). The second line represents the class with the planned aircraft facilities.

As to which gun you'd use for the 16" Mk 2s (as planned) or the 16" Mk 3/4 (as redesigned during wartime) is a thorny question. Neither gun was ever completed (so there is no proving ground data), but the theoritical performance was supposed to be superior to the earlier 16" Mk 1. Either you can use the RN 16" already provided (which represents the 16" Mk 1 as mounted on Nelson and Rodney) or the USN 16" (which represents the 16" Mk 6/8 as mounted on all US BBs except the Iowas and Montanas). Unfortunately, neither are a perfect fit as the Lion's guns performance falls between these two guns.
