Played one of the downloadable scenarios over the weekend. Great fun! My only question is why give 8 gun ships only 2 gun boxes? Why not 3? This gives me one more die roll to hit with!

Enterprise and Flambeau both had 12 guns on the broadside (6 pdrs for Enterprise and 8 pdrs for Flambeau). So the total per broadside would be 6 which works out to 2 gun boxes per side.
As for the case of a 8 gun ship, the total per broadside would be 4 (which works out to 1 box per broadside). Unfortunately this is a fallout of the rounding method.
