Just checking I’m reading the bomb damage CRT right in relation to near misses. A Medium bomb near miss on an AK (column 3) has no effect but will do 2 hull box hits on a TB (also column 3). Right? A Heavy bomb near miss on a BB (column 8) will do half a hit box damage but the same bomb near missing a BC (column 7) will do no damage?

I don't believe that's correct.  Pretty sure a Medium bomb near miss on an AK or TB (column 3) will do 2 hull, and a Heavy bomb near miss on a BC or CV (column 8) or BB (column 9) will do 1/2 hull.  Why do you think the AK or BC are unaffected?

Dave is correct.  A medium bomb near miss on a AK (column 3 AK - TB) will cause 2 hull hits while a heavy bomb near miss on a BC (column 7 BC - CV) will cause a 1/2 hull hit.
