We just played a scenario of my design ( Soviet cruiser and two destroyers vs. CDs Ilmarinen and Väinämöinen ). There is a coastal fortress in the scenario and designing it to work within the scenario parameters was pretty straight forward. Rules for coastal fortresses got me wondering what is FWR ( fixed wide-base rangefinder )? I could not find a definitive answer or an example of one on the internet.
