Hi chaps

Just registered today 14th June 2022, but I see some forums questioins going unanswered, love the rules and impresse by the reviews on Youtube, but can I purchase in confidence that the website is aknowleding any orders for pdf rules and scenarions etc. as being based in the UK posting me hard copies is not viable, Caliver books have hard copy but does the website still support registration so I could donwload the pdf version.

Alos interested in the WW1 version adn the Figthting sail rules.

Kind regards

The passing of Mike B. has left quite a hole in the website's responsiveness. There is a collection of us trying fill that hole. But none of us (including the aggregate) has Mike's knowledge about all the rules. So we do the best that we can and hope you all will forgive us our inadequacies. Your questions will get answered eventually which is not the pace Mike set and which we all benefited from. Until we find another Mike (unlikely as in my estimation there was only one) the present situation while it may improve is not apt to return to what it was under Mike's supervision. As it is, everyone who uses the forum misses Mike and will continue to do so.

I did see that and sincere condolonces, that was too soon and no age to have been taken at, I just wondered how much of the process is automated, such as registraition of a product for access to the pdf donwload, and also the purchase online of pdf or download products.

sincerely

Gary,

Answers to your questions,

Thank you for registering and your support/ interest in General Quarters and all of ODGW products.   We are a a group of hobbyist (gamers) like yourself that love to write and play.  This said our response times are honestly hit and miss due to real jobs and family obligations.  But we try...

We have two purchase options - Printed or Digital (PDF) copies.

Printed

When you purchase a printed copy you will receive an email confirmation of the purchase.  Once your order has shipped (3-5 days) you will receive another email with a tracking number.

When you receive your printed book, there is a registration page in the back (last page) with a unique serial number.  All printed copies have a registration page.  Go back to the ODGW site sigh up for a free account (you have already done this) and follow the instructions on the registration page to register your book.   Once the registration has been accepted (1-2 days) then your account will be given access to the Private Download library.  This has a boat load (pun intended) of items for your rules including a digital copy of the rules for you to DL.

One item of note - We do not ship to the UK due to the latest import restrictions and fees that have been levied.   So if you want a printed copy I'd recommend Caliver Books .   Dave is a great guy.

Digital

When you purchase a digital copy of our books, your email is automatically registered and you will receive an email with the DL link and access to the Private Download Library.

If you have any issues you can complete a Support Ticket (link on the home page) and we will address it as soon as possible (with the above caveats as explained).

Sincerely,

Kenny

I know  and have gamed with Dave of Caliver books, so if I order from him  and register.

Agree time avaialable seems shorter now, unfortunatley I am at the age of plenty of expendable income but no time to enjoy what I buy, a typical wargamer perhaps.

all the best Gary
