Sand Wars 2026 is almost here. It will be held at the American Legion Post 35 Hall in Chandler, AZ on May 2nd-3rd, 2026.
There are a fair number of games that are on the schedule most of a historical nature with a couple of sci-fi/alt historical in there as well.
I will be doing another run of my Mein Panzer "Stemming the Tide" scenario. This is a Russian Front, post Kursk. scenario where the Germans are trying to hold off the Russian offensive. It is a step up from my "Cruisin' for a Bruisin'" scenario as the forces are a bit more asymmetrical. The Germans with mostly Panzer III's and some Panzer IV's must contend with the better Russian T-34s. In this scenario, the Germans are classed as Veteran for TQ while the Russians are Regulars. Can German troop quality make up for the better Russian equipment? Stay tuned.
