After playing several battles using the GQ3.3 rules, some questions surfaced that require some input from the designers.

1. On the RN and other Gunfire CRTs, you see a 1 CL in brown (red, whatever that color is because it isn’t black) under 8” at 24000m. The 1/2 also appears in that color, but 1/2 is explained in 1.5.5 (Extreme Range). What does the brown 1 CL mean or is this just a misprint and it should be black?

2. When a ship takes an engineering hit and its max speed become limited (or a ship becomes DIW), does the ship immediately reduce to the yellowed speed (or no longer moves at all if DIW), or does the ship slow down by 5kts a turn until it reaches it limited (or DIW) speed? We played that it slows down by 5kts. Is this the intent?

1. This indicates that you should be rolling for that hit on a D20 or D24 if you are being really accurate. It's extreme range for the Fire Control system.

2. When the ship loses all power, it slows faster than 5 knots per six minutes, so one turn of slowing to 0 would be logical ... It can pull out of line or whatever. Many people just assume it stops where it is, but your concept is more accurate.

When you go to the speed in the yellow box, most of us do that immediately, since trying to prorate the speed for a turn is more trouble than it's worth. If the ship needed an extra inch to get out of line, I personally would grant it, but to my knowledge it's supposed to take effect immediately.
