Hi 

I just downloaded the AIW data book 2. Very good so far!  And I have a question on some of the stats/info. 

 

On the Egyptian equipment table the OM2 stat for the T54A/B, T55A/B just has 2 no plus or minus. Which is it?

Tank Squadron (3)(Sqd A, B, C)

Squadron HQ

Command Stand (Sqn CO) (1)

Command Stand (Sqn XO) (1)

Jeep (1)

Tanks (2)

 

Tank Troops (4)

Tank (1)

 

I read this as a tank Sqd HQ(company HQ) has 2 tanks and each Trp (platoon) has 2 tanks for a total of 10 tanks in each Sqd.

Congratulations!  You are the first to discover the "easter eggs" {ahem..} in the book!!  Well done.

 

Now that I can claim to be human and deduct the pay from my editors...  Yes, there is a typo in the Egyptian chapter.  I have corrected the missing "+" characters in the OM2 column for the T-54 vehicles.

 

As for the Tank Squadron, yes you are correct.  10 tanks per squadron.  2x per Sqdr HQs and 2x per Sqdr Trp  (4x Trps = 8 tanks plus 2x per Sqdr Hqs = 10 tanks total).

 

I'll get the updates posted to the Private DL soonest and post in the forum.
