This was a rather fun game. Especially if you were on the German side. This was a ficticious battle but going with what was available in July of '43, naturally.The Soviets had 50 tanks;(3) T-34 Companies, 30 tanks (2 companies were vets, the rest were regular)(1) KV-1 Heavy Tank Company, 10 tanks(1) SU-152 partial company, 10 tanksThe Germans had; 25 tanks(1) Tiger platoon with KG CO and XO, 6 tanks (elite)(1) Panther Platoon, 5 tanks (vet)(1) Elefant Platoon, 4 tanks (vet)(2) Mark IV Platoons, 10 tanks (reg)Special rules applied;Panther and Elefant BreakdownDirect Fire OptionYou will see how this plays out.

Here's the map noting entry points, basically this is a meeting engagement.

First at bat, T34 tanks come into view with Mark IVh tanks

now the lumbering SU-152 tanks have been spotted by the Mark IV tanks. In my opinion, the Mark IV tanks were left precariously out there and unprotected. But, not my job, I'm just running the game.

Now enter the Panthers, direct from the factory.

now the KV-1 tanks make their slow move towards the thin platted Mark IV tanks.....but first they have to hit them.

and now, fresh from the factory and directly behind the Panthers come the mighty Elefants.

The SU-152 tanks make visual contact with the Panthers and Elefants.

The SU-152 tanks along with the KV-1 tanks form a wall of steel. Why?....I dont know.

"BATTLECARD" played by German hands. The SU-152 tanks have rolled into minefield improperly flagged by Soviet engineers.1 tank gets brewed up and another gets knocked out.

and here's where it starts to get ugly!!! A company of T-34s charge over the hill to engage the Tiger tanks. The Germans now put the Direct Fire Optional Rule to the test.

The T34 tanks did a move and shoot, 2 Tigers were supressed. Their first volley of fire was from OW. Then they activated and applied the DF Option.

The Tigers moved to face the next threat of (2) additional T34 companies to its flank."BATTLECARD" played by the SovietsTiger tanks get bogged down in mysterious muddy terrain.

Tiger crews are working furiously, slamming 88mm shells into the breach and hurling death, destruction and certain doom.The Tigers are getting peppered with 76mm shells from the T34s with no effect.

.....meanwhile, back on the ranch, a KV knocks out a mark IV after finally hitting one.

By now, the Panthers begin to take on the SU-152 tanks. The SU have been given an certain amount of APHE shells to help deal with the Panthers, but still they just shatter on their front plate.
