Pete in Phoenix put together another great game. Here's the write-up he did. I took the pictures. I had a great time playing it even though I took several losses before our side even took out a single Panzer. Fun game and we all learned to not position troops on the roof of a building.http://www.microarmo...21/March21.html

Excellent read Thunder! :)Where in Phoenix was the game played? Have a friend in Globe that makes an occasional trip into Phoenix that may like to join in on a game.

This battle was fought at Imperial Outpost Games in Glendale. Thats about 2 hours from Globe. In the past, Pete has hosted games in Mesa which is a little closer. --cb

Thanks for posting the AAR again Chris. I want to mention that Chris took a lot of really great pictures to make this AAR come alive. I had a great time hosting this game and am planning to do another one at Imperial Outpost in the near future. I really do enjoy the Mein Panzer rules set for my games. I have many repeat players that like it very much as well - just the right level of detail while keeping the game fun. Thanks ODGW.Pete

Kind words indeed. Persuasive, too.Worth mentioning that Pete was the guy who introduced me to the Mein Panzer rules. He supported me through my early endeavors to learn the rules, and provided me with vehicle stats as I did my first play-testing, before I went out and bought the full package. All this, even though I have never met the guy (except online). So thanks from me, too, Pete. And Thunder is directly responsible for getting me back into WW2 micro armor gaming. After 20 years of WW2 gaming I had shifted my focus to moderns in the 1990s, and then more or less wandered away from it all by 2001 or so, as I could not find any gamers or even retailers in my area. Then Thunder (Chris) invited me to join his game at a local con. And he and I started gaming on a semi-regular basis, and a whole little team of guys developed around us, and wow, I'm having more fun in this hobby than I ever had before. But alas Thunder moved away to Arizona, and now he games with Pete. But we still game around here, and I'm still having fun. So thanks from me, too, Pete. And greetings to you, and to Chris. ;) -Mark 1

Hey Mk1Thanks very much. I now run a bookstore out at Luke AFB so my time has been a little bit short lately. It is great having Chris close by because he is a great guy and takes great pictures as well. Without him the picture part (read the really cool eye candy part) of the AAR would not have been possible. Without good pictures all you have is verbage that may or may not be interesting to most people and you, Mark, saying - "Pictures Please". I hope to run another Mein Panzer game in the near future once things get steady at the store. So far, so good.Pete
