G' Day Forum Members,I am updating the surface combat charts for the upcoming Amendment 2 to incorporate more optional rules. As part of refreshing the charts, I am updating the national graphics on each with new color graphics.Does anyone have a good suggestion for the French besides the fleur-de-leys? I am not using the flag as that is the format used for the FAI WW I charts. If you have a suggestion, please provide it as an attachment. Otherwise, I'll go with the fleur-de-lys.NOTE: the updated charts contain optional rule enhancements for those who want them and are not required when using the standard General Quarters the Third Edition rules.Together, we continue to evolve General Quarters,LONNIE

Lonnie,Since you can do color on the card, why not use the roundel with anchor from the French fleet air arm? You could also just superimpose the anchor on the flag to keep it different from FAI. But I sort of like the roundel.

Interesting idea Dave.I hadn't thought of that. Let me check it out and also confirm that it was not a post-war addition. Thanks,LONNIE

it is important to note that Amendments are evolutionary, not errata, the game is correct as written.

If you are talking about "Free France" you could use the Cross of Lorraine. This featured in the naval ensign among other uses as a symbol of the cause.
