Ive not yet played but reading some of the rules it says minor course changes ie 30 degrees can be made
without using the turn gauge

the example on page 16 is 12pp8 which is 2 30 deg turns =60 deg in total if you can make such turns
why bother with a turn gauge

Could i not do 2pppppp8 and do a total 180? and keep the same speed?

to my mind a 60 deg turn is not a minor course change

As i said though ive not yet played and have only just started reading the rules
can anyone clarify
