This was a GQ II game fought in December 2009. It is heavy on pictures but somewhat light on text, as the original AAR was lost when my hard drive was virused a while back, so I've had to reconstruct based on the photos and recollections. Any references to the Kirov should read Maksim Gorky.

Anyway it got the Soviets and some German oddballs into action!

Love your use of uncommon ships. I'm not clear on how the Germans are able to fire on the Russians, without return fire.

I really miss having the original AAR handy! As I recall, Gorky suffered because she poked her nose around the west end of the smokescreen, which enabled her to engage the torpedo boats but exposed her to the pre-dreadnoughts and Bremse. Marat and Destroyer Flotilla 1 came under concentrated fire from the Training Squadron when it arrived. Destroyer Flotilla 1 was fairly close when the Training Squadron came on, so the German secondaries were already withinn effective range.
