Hi,

Very new to wargaming naval warfare so please forgive me if this is a silly question but can you use 1:3000 scale ships with GQIII, new UK based player here

Yes, both Navwar and Davco are in the UK and do a wide range of 1:3000.

This is 1:3000 from Davco.

Regards, Phil

I have been very happy with 1:4800 scale, but sources seem to be drying up, unfortunately. I got many off my ships through the now defunct Shapeways Printing site.

1 Cm =  100 yds is convenient and space efficient.  I know about CinC now being in Canada, although they have little I don't have already. Are there any other sources?

Reach out to xpforge.com . They have an extensive line of naval miniatures and may be willing to cast/print them for you in 1/4800. Years ago they printed some of the WTJ files in 1/3000 for me. Worth asking.

I started out in 1:2400 (Jim was there) and branched out into 1:1250, all WWII. I got interested in WWI and tried out 1:6000 and loved it. The Wildfire in 20 took the entire fleet and I replaced it all with 1:6000. There is very little that the Figurehead Range does not cover, and you can find that on the Net (that's where I found the Dutch Endratcht class). The size just seems made for fighting on a tabletop if your floor space is limited and moveable interlocking pads allows for never ending table.
